Tools
Small interactive tools I’ve built for Japanese learning. Pick one below.
- Primed Listening and Token Coverage Connect your Anki (AnkiConnect + AnkiMorphs), drop in a subtitle file, and see what percentage of the words in that video you already know — overall, minute by minute, and live alongside the YouTube video. Then watch it with primed listening: a short pause to read each line just before you hear it.
- What Your Japanese Generation Knows Enter your birth year and see the anime, music, films, buzzwords and trends a Japanese person your age grew up with — the shared cultural touchstones you'd be expected to know.
